This field allows people to work in track maintenance, electrical equipment maintenance, vehicle maintenance, vehicle manufacturing, and transportation staff. It was newly added to the scope of the program in 2024. Because Japanese language proficiency is important for transportation staff work, a minimum of N3 on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is required.
